Modern Victoria is strongly committed to the protection of your privacy rights. Modern Victoria maintains the following privacy policy concerning your on-line use of this site. Modern Victoria does not collect any personal information from general members of the public who use this site to preview gowns and dresses.
Information about you is gathered on a voluntary basis if you use the “Contact Us” page. All of the information about you comes from the information you choose to give to us. Modern Victoria uses that information solely to respond to your questions and comments. You are not required to provide any information except information to allow us to contact you. Your information is not provided to third parties, except to aid in responding to your questions and comments. It is our policy that you will not be added to any mailing or e-mailing lists without your express consent.
The information we gather may be disclosed to others if we are required to do so by law, court order or subpoena. We may provide information as requested by other governmental or law enforcement agencies. We may disclose your information when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is otherwise necessary or advisable, including but not limited to, situations involving disclosure to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be interfering with our rights or properties or situations involving a danger of harm to anyone.

Company Policies
All items are sold in "as is" condition. We are not responsible for the condition of items once they leave our store. We inspect all items that come in, but please be sure to check for any defects before purchasing. Any items on clearance are not subject to further discounts due to defects or condition. Any dry cleaning or mending of clearance items is the responsibility of the purchaser.
Due to the nature of our business and the recommendations of the bridal industry, all sales of instock & special order merchandise are final. We are happy to recommend items or styles but the final responsibility for the choice of purchase is the customer's. Minor alterations performed on dresses are not refundable. If you special order an item and it arrives defective, you will be given either store credit or the opportunity to reorder a replacement of same item. We do not offer cash refunds of any kind.

Tuxedo/accessory rentals must be paid at least 50% before they can be ordered. The cancellation/restocking fee is 50% of the full rental price. Cancellations are not accepted during the week of the event, and no full refunds can be given. Tuxedo rentals are not refundable or discounted in any way once they arrive at the shop. You must provide a valid driver's license and credit card to open a tuxedo rental account.
It is our mission to make sure you love how you look in your tuxedo. We require that you set aside time to try on your tuxedos when they arrive so that any hem adjustments on sleeves and trousers can be done; if you pick it up without trying it on, you are taking on the responsibility to make any hem adjustments (without cutting fabric) and no refunds or discounts will be given. We can not be responsible for subjective taste; if you choose a style, and a friend or family member doesn't like it after you take it home, no refunds will be given.
Wedding party tuxedo orders of 4 or more tuxedos must be paid by ONE person using ONE credit/debit card or cash. Tuxedo orders must be placed in person, we do not accept phone orders.
Tuxedos and/or accessories are due back the next business day to avoid late charges. The late charge is $50 per business day. Our suppliers may substitute fabrics or styles during prom season, please be sure to give us a second choice on all orders.
There is a security deposit of $25 for each tuxedo, which is refundable on return of all items in good condition.
Slip rentals are available. Slips are due back the next business day after your event. There is a security deposit on slips during peak season, refundable if the slip is in good condition and returned on time. Slips may be purchased, prices range from $40 to $100 depending on type of slip.
Wedding gown rentals are available at certain times of the year. Gowns are due back within 7 days. There is a security deposit on wedding gowns, refundable after the gown has been drycleaned if in good condition and returned on time. Customer, by signing the rental agreement, acknowledges that the gown is in good to excellent conditon. Customer is responsible for any and all damages to rental gowns beyond the normal soiling that can be drycleaned out, up to the full purchase price of the gown. Please call or email us before you come to see the rentals so we can have them available.
We offer a selection of formal gowns for rent. Prices start at just $49.99, plus refundable security deposit. Gowns are continually inspected for damage and by signing rental agreement customer acknowledges that the gown is in good to excellent condition. Customer is responsible for any and all damages to rental gowns beyond normal soiling that can be dry-cleaned out, up to the full purchase price for the gown. Deposits will not be given back until the gown has been thoroughly inspected for snags, rips, tears, holes, etc. and drycleaned.
Please allow up to 6-12 weeks for your special order formals to arrive. Occasionally, your gown may arrive in our shop within a week or two, but this is not true of all of our vendors. Special orders may not be cancelled after the order has been placed. Special orders must be paid for in full before the order is made. Orders will be held for 24 hours before we order from our supplier, except RUSH orders. RUSH orders will incur a rush fee to help cover shipping charges. Special orders are not refundable for any reason. We can not be held responsible for delays in shipping or customs; however we do use reputable vendors who make your gown a priority and do everything possible to ensure prompt delivery.
We accept donated bridal and formal gowns.
We do not buy or trade wedding gowns or formals off the street. We do not offer consignment.
